About The 30 Journeys

In early 2023, Trish Tassin was on the road, nursing grief and sifting through the ashes of a life no longer in alignment.

Somewhere between the silence of the desert and the noise of a campground, she began meeting women who reflected pieces of herself—strangers with kind eyes, crinkled maps, and unspoken traumas turned into grit.

They didn’t just inspire her. They ignited her.

Nomadic Origins

One woman showed her how to hook up solar for her van. Another offered coffee and kindness after a long night. Many shared stories were too good—and too hard—to keep to herself. These roadside encounters became lifelines, then lessons, then a legacy.

That’s when the idea came. If these stories had changed her, what might they do for others?

So she listened. She took notes. And then she created The 30 Journeys, a place where nomadic women could be heard, honored, and remembered.

The 30 Journeys believes in elevating stories that are raw and radiant, filled with the kind of wisdom that can only be earned by stepping into the unknown. Each voice offers something rare: a personal blueprint for resilience, resourcefulness, and reinvention. These gritty stories from the road will break you open and build you back.

Editor

Ae Moon

Ae is a sparkle-in-the-eyes, 50-something embracing the privilege to change it up, do it anyway, and stop explaining. After decades of duty and overwork, she hit the road with her rescue dog Murphy in search of something wilder, freer, and more true. Now living full-time in her van, she seeks the moments, the smiles, and the giggles, and challenges herself not to waste a single one. She still dreams of finding a van pal or two to CB radio with, much like the Dukes of Hazzard. (Responsibly, of course.)
